Since its establishment in 1959,  Asquith Girls High School has developed a reputation for excellence in all areas of student endeavour. A strong academic emphasis is complemented by opportunities in student leadership, creative and performing arts, sport, vocational education and technology.

Asquith Girls High School aims to be a leader in girls education with a focus on preparing young women to be lifelong learners and global citizens. With care and support, all students are encouraged to be active paticipants in school life.
Our school life is based upon respect - for oneself, for others and for our environment. We believe in behaving appropriately and in respecting others. Above all we are members of a school where people care about the well-being of others as well as themselves.

An ongoing tradition of success in the Higher School Certificate examinations, sporting competitions, and representations in the performing arts gives students a sense of pride in being members of a leading school. These
fine traditions have meant that our ex-students have gained distinctions in many sections of society.

The teaching staff at Asquith Girls is experienced, caring and dedicated to each student reaching their potential. Outside the classroom teachers provide many extra curricular opportunities so that students may develop talents and gain maximum enjoyment from school.

As a local, comprehensive, single sex high school Asquith Girls benefits from a strong sense of community. Parent participation is encouraged and the school is supported by an active Parents & Citizens Association, Parents Auxiliary and various committees.

We trust that Asquith Girls High School provides all students with many fond memories of friendship, endeavour and achievement.   The extent to which we achieve, make friends, and make a difference depends on each individual accepting the challenge to do her best and to make the most of every opportunity.
