During the school year the Parents and Citizens' Association meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in the Asquith Girls Staff Common Room at 7.30 p.m. This organisation works for the benefit of the school and its meetings enable parents to keep in touch with school activities. Visiting speakers are invited to address the parents and there is a continuing policy to keep parents informed on education practices which benefit the experiences of the young students within the school.
The meetings agenda is as follows:
-
Opening & welcome
-
Acceptance of previous minutes
-
Business arising from minutes
-
Correspondence
-
President’s report
-
Treasurer’s report
-
Principal’s report
-
Deputy Principal’s report
- General business
Parents are invited to make contact with members of the P&C whether or not they are able to attend meetings. Input from parents is highly valued in helping meet the needs of Asquith girls.
A Working Bee is held on a Saturday once every school term to improve the grounds and facilities.
